Severe weather event in Bee County causes extensive damage

BEEVILLE- Severe weather in Bee County causes power outage and extensive damage.

Statement from Bee County Judge, Stephanie A. Moreno:

On Tuesday night, Bee County experienced a severe weather event with high winds, hail, and torrential rain.

Law enforcement, first responders, and the Bee County Road & Bridge Department immediately traveled to the areas affected.

At this time, no life threatening injuries or fatalities have been reported.

Bee County continues to assess damage throughout the community.

Power is expected to be restored by 8:00 p.m., today.

The community is encouraged to continue to report down power lines or debris in roadways.
