Senator Ted Cruz Launches Statewide Tour in Goliad

Thursday evening Senator Ted Cruz traveling in from Houston to deliver a speech to a large group– there he recalled the days following the devastating event that was Hurricane Harvey.

The annual gathering for the Golden Crescent Regional Planning Commission highlights the efforts of city officials across the Crossroads for preparing and responding to natural disasters. Senator Ted Cruz addressed the group of more than 100 attendees and congratulated them for their hard work these past two years as their communities heal from Hurricane Harvey.

“I have never been proud to be Texan than in the days and weeks after the hurricane, because we saw Texans all over the state stepping up and helping their neighbors, we saw people getting sacrificial.”

Cruz spoke on his efforts to keep Texas prospering despite recent tragedies. His main goal is to keep those families, workers, and small business owners afloat as hurricane recovery continues to occur. Cruz awarded city departments for accomplishments throughout the year.

This event was the kickstart of a statewide tour that Cruz will be on for the next several weeks. He will travel across Texas to share more of his legislative efforts and initiatives.
