Senate District 18 Representative Lois Kolkhorst to face Josh Tutt

In November, Senator Kolkhorst is up against one opponent, Josh Tutt.

AUSTIN, Texas – State Senate District 18 Representative Lois Kolkhorst is seeking re-election. In November she’ll face Josh Tutt.

Senate District 18 spans all or parts of 21 counties and covers one-third of the Texas coastline, encompassing nearly one million constituents.

Senator Kolkhorst is a 5th generation Texan from Brenham who was elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 2001 and elected to the Texas Senate in 2014.

Her challenger, Josh Tutt, is a 7th generation Texan and Kolkhorst’s only opponent. Tutt says he wants to make progress for his fellow Texans.

“I’m running for office because I think we have a lot of opportunities in front of us to make progress for Texans. I want us to make bold investments in rural infrastructure to fund our education system and expand healthcare access for all Texans,” says Tutt.
