Second doses of COVID-19 vaccine at Victoria County Public Health Department

VICTORIA COUNTY, Texas – The Victoria County Public Health Department received notification that they will be receiving 2,000 more doses of COVID-19 vaccine for a first dose administration, said Director David Gonzales.

The health department will also receive 1,000 doses of vaccine for a second dose administration.

Gonzales confirmed the tentative plans are to administer all of these doses next week.

Second doses are being administered on Thursday, February 18 and first doses on Wednesday, February 17.

The health department will continue to prepare to migrate a new software system in the coming weeks, said Gonzales.

The new software system will make it much easier for people to register for a vaccine.

More information will be released about the software as it becomes available, Gonzales said.

Registration is not open yet for a vaccination clinic.
