Schroeder Hall “angrily” closes its doors due to the governor’s orders

Governor Abbott's latest executive order is closing down bars

VICTORIA,Texas–Friday Governor Abbott issued an executive order limiting certain businesses and services as part of the state’s effort to help contain the spread of COVID-19. The order affects all bars and similar establishments that receive more than 51% of their gross receipts, to close as of noon Friday, June 26th. While some bars and resturants can rely on thier to-go options, Schroeder Hall cannot.
Live music venue organizers wrote in a Facebook post which said,

“We find it mind boggling that amusement parks, swimming pools and water parks can be open, but bars cannot. Also saying “bars have been singled out.”

Schroeder Hall was planning a firework show to celebrate the 4th of July, but that is not going to happen. If you have purchased a ticket from them for their upcoming shows, keep the tickets because they are trying to reschedule the shows, but if you need a refund contact Outhouse Tickets. With any other questions call the Hall at 361-573-7002.
They encourage everyone to stay safe and to look forward to opening back up again. Once they do, they plan on having a fireworks show to celebrate our independence.
