Santa Surprises Students With Gifts At Local Elementary School

“Let me see if your name is on my list,” says Santa Claus as he visits students at F.W. Gross Elementary School.

Members of First United Methodist Church made a list, checked it twice, and then loaded up gifts for all who were nice.

Santa and his elf went door to door Friday to deliver the gifts to each child.

Mr. Reed’s class opened up with excitement.

“Oh my god this is so cool,” one student squeals.

“Its very exciting for our kids. Some of our kids do not get a lot of gifts. So I think it’s very exciting and very fun for them,” says Mr. Viron Reed.

Santa left not one, but two Christmas presents for every student.

One by one the Santa and his little elf kept the gifts coming. With tears in her eyes Regina Bryan says this act of giving not only encourages children, but teachers also.

“We’ve given Christmas gifts to homeless children for the past four years. This was the first time we were able to provide gifts for everybody,” says Bryan.

It is story after story like these that motivate this community to keep up the spirit of giving every year.
