Here is what you need to know regarding the sales tax holiday

AUSTIN, Texas – Glenn Hegar, Texas Comptroller, is reminding families and businesses that they can save money on the purchase of certain water- and energy-efficient products this weekend during Texas’ Water-Efficient Products and ENERGY STAR® sales tax holidays. Both holidays take place on Saturday, May 29, through Monday, May 31.

Products displaying a WaterSense® label or logo will be available for tax free purchase for personal or business use. Sone products included are showerheads, bathroom sink faucets and accessories, toilets, urinals and landscape irrigation.

Lawn and garden products used to help conserve water outdoors are also included in this sales tax holiday. Qualified items, which can be purchased tax free for residential use only, include soaker or drip-irrigation hoses; moisture controls for sprinkler or irrigation systems; mulch; and plants, trees and grasses.

There’s no limit to the amount of water-efficient or water-conserving items you can buy tax free. Visit the Comptroller’s website for more information on the Water-Efficient Products Sales Tax Holiday.
