Round one playoff matches for the Crossroads area football teams

Teams, times, and locations for the games

Here are the game times and locations for round 1 of the playoffs for the Crossroads area teams who made it to the playoffs.

There will be games on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

In 5A, the Victoria West Warriors just wiggled their way into the playoffs with a 6-4 record. The Warriors will travel to McAllen Memorial to take on the Mustangs who are 9-1 on the year.  The game is Thursday at 7 p.m.

 

In 4A, the number three ranked El Campo Ricebirds finished first in the district with a record of 9-1 and will host the Houston Yates Lions who are 5-5 on the year. The game is Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in Ricebird Stadium.

The Calhoun Sandcrabs finished third in the district with a record of 5-4 and will travel to Alice to take on the Rio Grand City Grulla Gators. The Gators finished the year 4-4 and also finished third in the district. The game will be played at 7:30 p.m. Friday night.

The number seven Cuero Gobblers take the top spot in the district with a 9-1 record and will host the San Antonio Young Mens Leadership Academy who finished with a 3-6 record. Game time will be at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday night at Cuero.

 

In 3A, the number seven Hallettsville Brahmas will travel to Brenham Cub Stadium to take on the Cameron Yoe Yoemen. The Yoemen are 4-6 while the Brahmas are 8-2. Kickoff is Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

The Yoakum Bulldogs will have a tough match up for the first round against the 9-1 Little River Academy Bumblebees. Both teams will travel to Waller for the bi- district match up Friday at 7:30 p.m.

The Edna Cowboys head to playoffs as the number one seed and number eight in the state. The Cowboys will host the Bishop Badgers on Saturday. The Badgers finished fourth in district. The game will be in Edna on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

The 8-2 Industrial Cobras finished behind Edna in district and will play the 7-3 Lyford Bulldogs Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. in Odem.

The Goliad Tigers finished in fourth in the district and will face the undefeated Corpus Christi London Pirates. The two will travel to Falls City on Friday and play at 7:00 p.m.

The 5-4 Tidehaven Tigers took third in district and will play the 7-3 Rogers Eagles who took second. Both teams will travel to Navasota and play Friday night at 7:30 p.m.

 

In class 2A, the top ranked Refugio Bobcats face the 4-5 Santa Maria Cougars in their home stadium Thursday night at 7;00 p.m.

The number two Shiner Comanches will travel to San Antonio Davenport to take on the Harper Longhorns who are 7-3 on the year. Kickoff is Thursday night at 7:00 p.m.

The Ganado Indians are 5-5 and will take on the 5-5 Ozona Lions in the earliest game of the week. The game will be in San Antonio Comalander on Thursday night at 6:30 p.m.

The 7-3 Yorktown Wildcats will take on the 3-7 Sabinal Yellowjackets. They will head to Floresville Thursday night. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.

The 6-4 Louise Hornets play the 6-3 Bruni Badgers at 7:30 p.m. in Taft on Friday.

Shiner St. Paul and Hallettsville Sacred Heart both have byes this week.
