Rockport recovering from Hurricane Harvey

ROCKPORT- The Rockport Volunteer Fire Department begins each day by raising the American flag with one of its fire trucks.
Most of the town now has power. Water has been on for three days, but the water boil notice remains in place.
There is also a burn ban in place to prevent wildfires.

All school buildings will reopen mid-October. In the meantime, middle school and high school students are going to classes in temporary trailers.

The city has received countless donations, so many it is hard to organize the donations and find storage for the items.
