Riverside Golf Course, local clubs to host City Championship tournament

The City Championship will be held May 29-31 at various locations

Riverside Golf Course’s improved greens will be open to new and returning players during the City Championship, a local golf tournament hosted by Victoria’s three golf courses.

“This is a great way for us to show the community what we have to offer,” said Rolando Hernandez, head golf professional at Riverside Golf Course. “Victoria is lucky to have three golf courses, and this tournament lets them play all three for a fair price.”

The tournament will be May 29-31 at Riverside Golf Course, The Club at Colony Creek and Victoria Country Club. This event is open to spectators. Participants will receive a complimentary lunch each day on the golf courses.

The competition is divided into men’s, women’s and junior divisions and a “Just for Fun” flight is available for players who do not want to keep score.

The entry deadline is May 27 at 3 p.m. Participants can download the registration form at playriversidegc.com/calendar/ or pick up a form at one of the three locations.

For residents looking for another opportunity to enjoy the course, Riverside Golf Course has extended its driving range hours to take advantage of increased daylight.
