Resident okay after Appaloosa Dr house fire, says VFD

The Victoria Fire Department responded to a house fire on Appaloosa Drive early Wednesday morning. The fire started around 11:21 a.m. According to Fire Chief Tracy Fox, the fire broke out in the attic of a home on the 200 block of Appaloosa Drive. Fox says a resident was inside the home at the time of the fire but made it out safely. The resident was treated for smoke inhalation and is expected to be okay. A cause for the fire has not been determined. The investigation into the fire is ongoing.
