Refugio County Fair and Parade is here

Saturday March 16th at 4p.m.

The Refugio county fair and parade is nearly upon us.

The annual fair will officially begin with the county parade, which takes place Saturday, March 16th, at 4 p.m on Commons Street.

More than forty floats will be featured in the parade, from businesses and residents alike.

Wilkinson Chevrolet of Refugio will also donate four vehicles for the parade which will be used to celebrate outstanding senior citizens in the community along with the winners of the county’s lifetime achievement and citizen of the year award.

The fair activities are located on 106 Fairground Rd, Refugio.

Refugio Chamber of Commerce Board President, Wade Eernissee says, “It’s just a great family function. I mean, everybody’s gonna be there. Most of the town goes. We’re gonna have candy, the kids are gonna get to see the fire trucks and everything. You know, it’s just a tradition that we’ve always done for many years. Just to get together as a community and enjoy everybody and the parade.”

The county fair will continue on March 20th and will end on March 23rd. Events going on will include the Livestock Show Competitions, Bingo hall, games, and live music from local artists.
