Recent rain causes sunken graves at Cuero’s Hillside cemetery
Since it's been raining more these past couple of days, Cuero's Parks & Recreation department has been spending more time maintaining their local cemetery.
CUERO, Texas – Recently, the Hillside Cemetery in Cuero has sunken graves due to heavy rain.
According to the Parks & Recreation department, this result often occurs with newer graves after many days with rainy weather.
Since the Crossroads has experienced a lot more rain and flooding this season, the cemetery has been regularly conducting repairs.
Starting on Monday, May 31, the county’s Parks & Recreation Department will begin mowing the lawn.
The filling in at least 12 individual gravesites affected by the recent rain.
