Rain Chances On the Decrease

Hope everyone is having a great Monday! Hot temperatures and dry conditions will sum up the forecast for the next few days. The upper low continues to move northward producing rain in North and West Texas. Drier air continues to move into the Crossroads. The drying trend will continue for the next couple of days. High pressure ridging will shut down rain chances into the weekend. With high pressure over the Crossroads, temperatures will warm a degree or two into the upper 90s Thursday and Friday.

The ridge of high pressure will break down by the weekend. We may see a few isolated showers next weekend into next Monday. Temperatures over the next seven days will remain slightly above average with lows in the upper 70s. In the tropics, we are monitoring an area of thunderstorms in the North Atlantic. National Hurricane Center gives this area a 20% of development in the next five days.
