Rain chances increasing into the weekend
VICTORIA, Texas — It’s a bit drier now, but rain chances will return heading into the weekend
Tonight and tomorrow will look and feel drier. No rain chances and lower humidity values. Tonight we will dip down into the mid 70s, and tomorrow we will get to the mid 90s. With lower humidity though, the heat index will not be terrible, still in the triple digits though.
Heading into the weekend, we get an influx of tropical moisture and can expect rain chances to increase. Looking at scattered to widespread showers and thunderstorms on Saturday and into Sunday, and the moisture will stick around into the beginning of the work week. Looking at highs being in the mid to low 90s and lows to be in the mid to upper 70s.
As for the tropics, Karen is expected to do a loop in the Atlantic and then possibly track toward the Bahamas. Lorenzo is expected to turn out into the open Atlantic by this weekend. We will continue to monitor the Tropics throughout this hurricane season.
