Rain Chances Improve Midweek, Atlantic Remains Quiet

With the massive upper level ridge now displaced into the East Coast, the Crossroads now resides in a more favorable environment for rain chances. In fact, the isolated showers and thunderstorms over this weekend will gradually increase in coverage through the work week. An upper ridge rebuilds over northwest Texas and New Mexico this coming weekend, squeezing our rain chances back to isolated showers. Meantime, highs will be near normal in the middle 90s. The tropical Atlantic Basin remains devoid of any tropical activity, and Eastern Pacific Tropical Storm Miriam is moving west and represents no threat to either to North America or Hawaii.
