Rain Chances Are Out and The Heat is On Starting Next Week
A hot day in the Crossroads with scattered showers mainly northeast of Victoria. The showers will begin to fade by sunset as we lose daytime heating. Tonight we will see lows falling back down into the middle 70s. Sunday will be similar to today however rain chances will be on the decrease. The upper high pressure ridge begins building into the Crossroads next week. Everyday we will see highs on the rise into the middle to upper 90s. Heat index values will be in the triple digits daily so remember to practice heat safety. During the hot afternoons, always remember to check your backseat for your little ones and your pets. Rain is not expected for the next seven days. In the tropics, Beryl has emerged as a subtropical system in the Atlantic. It will continue its track northeast into Canada and poses no threat to the United States.
