Quiet First Half of Week; Stormy Second Half. How Will the Weekend Shape Up?

An upper level ridge migrating eastward across Texas is bringing fair skies will little to no rain over the Crossroads through Wednesday. As the upper ridge moves east into the Deep South a vigorous upper level disturbance arrives from the Eastern Pacific. This system will initiate several days with rain and thunderstorms, and that activity will continue through the weekend. Look for most areas to receive 1 to 2 inches of rain. At this time, the tropics are quiet.
