Professional Volleyball Player Visits Victoria Volleyball Clinic and Generals Win

Today Next Level Volleyball held a camp at St Joe this afternoon. Tiana Dockery was on hand to assist with the camp. She helped the girls today with passing, setting, and hitting. Dockery played volleyball at the University of Kansas and is currently playing volleyball professionally overseas. Dockery was introduced to the sport at 13 years old. Right now, she realized that she should be coaching and wants to empower young ladies while coaching as well.

“I enjoy it so much where it doesn’t matter if I am getting paid to do it. I just like to see girls progress. I like them to be happy. I want them to push themselves not only in the sport but also teaching them a little bit of life lessons. I feel as if in our society we need more teachers,” said Dockery.

Once Dockery finish her playing career, she would like to become a coach or a volleyball agent.

The Victoria Generals are on the road tonight taking on the Acadiana Cane Cutters. The Generals get the win 5-4 to improve to 12-7 overall.

Generals and Cane Cutters will play again tomorrow night.
