Presidential candidates for Chamber of Commerce

VICTORIA,Texas–After having 50 applicants at the beginning of their search for presidential candidates, the search committee for the Chamber of Commerce has narrowed it down to their final three, Landis Adams, Jeff Lyon and Courtney Middleton-Sides. The search committee and the full board had time with each candidate individually. Today the entire community was invited to the open forum where the public came to hear the finalists and ask questions.

“We created evaluation forms, every one of those forms will be looked at by the board and will be considered so we really hope people will fill those out that they come come and listen to them so actually it will have a significant impact on our decision, said board chair Jesse Pisors.

Next Wednesday the Chamber board has a meeting where they will deliberate and receive the evaluation forms and refer to all the notes they have gathered so far in the process and hopefully make a decision by February 26th.

“The mission of the Chamber is to serve the business community, to advocate the business community, and to unite the business community so ultimately we’re looking for somebody who could lead the Chambers to accomplish that mission,” continued Pisors.

Very shortly after the decisions made they will make an offer and announce the new president.
