President of the Victoria Economic Development Corporation has resigned
Dale Fowler announces resignation, effective April 10th
VICTORIA, Texas – Dale Fowler, President of the Victoria Economic Development Corporation has resigned after 20 years. His final day is set for April 10, 2021.
In a press release Nancy Garner, Chairman of the Board of Directors released this statement:
“The VEDC Board will grant Mr. Fowler’s request for his professionalism and work to the missions of the organization and economic development for more than two decades. Fowler has led the recruitment and expansions of major industrial businesses to Victoria resulting in a diversified and stronger economy in the community,” wrote Garner.
Last year Dale Fowler ran for Sheriff of Victoria County and lost to current Sheriff Justin Marr in a primary runoff.
“It has been an honor and a privilege to be part of the VEDC team and I am very proud of our accomplishments over the years,” Fowler said. “Please accept my sincere appreciation for allowing me to lead the VEDC team for the past 20 years in our efforts to grow job opportunities and create new tax base for the community. While I will be moving on to a new opportunity. I hope to still be a part of the Victoria team when it comes to industrial projects and business recruitment.”
The press release said current staff will remain diligent in working on new business recruitment as they start an executive search for a new president.
