Power restored after planned outage in Castille Hills area Thursday morning

AEP turned off power to 173 customers in the Castle Hills area around 8 a.m. Thursday.

Power was restored in the Castle Hills area at 9:15 a.m., according to an AEP representative.

AEP Texas will have a planned power outage from 8:00 a.m. -10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 26th, in the Castle Hills area. Crews will be performing maintenance on the electrical grid in that area and will restore power as soon as that work is completed.

AEP says the streets affected by the planned power outage are in the older section of Castle Hills including Salisbury Lane, Hampton Court, Banbury Lane, Plantation Rd, Kingsway St.

The forecast is mostly cloudy with areas of fog until 9 a.m., then clearing, humid and increasingly warm. Temperatures rising through the 80s to near 90 by 10 a.m. and a light south wind.
