Periods of Heavy Rain and Storms Continues Throughout the Crossroads

A wet day in the Crossroads as the tropical wave is slowly moving through the area. Western parts of Refugio County is under a Flash Flood Warning until 9 PM tonight and could be extended. Some areas in Refugio County saw rain totals between 5-7″. Most of the Crossroads have seen amounts between 2-3″ with some locally heavier amounts in between. Waves of showers and storms will continue tonight into Wednesday. It will not rain all day. It is possible we see an additional 3-5 inches in areas in the next two days.

Depending on where the heavier storms sit over an area, we could see lot more. Rain coverage will begin to decrease Thursday as the tropical wave begins shifting south and west into Mexico. Starting Friday into the early next week, we will transition to the normal summertime storms. During this period, temperatures will be increasing back into the lower to middle 90s.
