Partly Cloudy with Scattered Showers and Thunderstorms Late Today
Slight Risk for Severe Storms Overnight
VICTORIA, Texas — A delicate dance between summertime heat and springtime severe weather is underway over the Lone Star State this afternoon and tonight, with an upper level disturbance carving out an enhanced risk for severe storms across North and Central Texas. Once again, the Crossroads lies at the southern perimeter of the severe weather threat, in the Slight Risk region this afternoon and tonight. Expect scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms overnight, with the greatest risk for severe weather here between midnight and mid-morning on Monday. Thereafter, heat becomes the center of interest over the region through the work week, with the next real opportunity for much-needed rain next Sunday. Highs will be in the 90s, with lows in the 70s to near 80.
