Partly Cloudy and Hot with Isolated Showers and Thunderstorms

Isolated Showers and Storms Overnight

An upper level disturbance associated with a weak cold front is easing southward through Southeast Texas late today, igniting isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms. For now, most of the Crossroads is devoid of precipitation, but isolated to scattered showers and storms are anticipated tonight and Thursday. Meanwhile, the heat persists, with late day temperatures generally in the 90s to near 100 and heat indices around 108 to 112. No important temperatures changes are expected over the next week, with afternoon readings in the upper 90s and morning lows in the upper 70s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms should return Tuesday and Wednesday of next week with another upper level disturbance. The tropics remain quiet.
