Partial closure of Ben Jordan Street beginning December 2nd
VICTORIA, Texas — Beginning Monday, December 2, Ben Jordan at Crestwood will close to through-traffic. The closure will allow for utility line construction and, weather permitting, is expected to last a week.
To accommodate the utility work, barricades will block most of the intersection of Crestwood and Ben Jordan.
Traffic southbound on Ben Jordan off Sam Houston Dr. will be blocked at Lawndale Avenue. Churches, businesses and homes along Ben Jordan will be accessible, but through traffic will be blocked.
Traffic on Crestwood between Sam Houston and Ben Jordan will be limited to east bound only (moving toward Sam Houston). Homes and parking areas on Crestwood between Sam Houston and Ben Jordan will be accessible through limited westbound traffic off Sam Houston Dr., but all through traffic will be blocked.
Traffic northbound on Ben Jordan will be forced to make a right turn onto Crestwood and continue east bound.
Traffic on Crestwood between Laurent and Ben Jordan is already restricted to east bound only.
Motorists can expect delays and should drive with extra caution in the work zone.
This construction is part of the $4.13 million Crestwood Drive Reconstruction Project Phase I (Ben Jordan Street to Laurent Street). The contractor is Brannan Paving Co., LTD of Victoria.
