Our Lady Of Victory celebrates its 25th Annual Parish Fall Festival
VICTORIA, Texas — Our Lady Of Victory Catholic School has some rich history behind its Annual Parish Fall Festival.
Vicki Pyatt the Co-Chair for Our Lady Victory Fall Festival said, “The people that make up this event are the parishioners of Our Lady Victory Cathedral. The Parish has been in existence for many, many years now. It was the home church of mine and there are many families, single people, elderly people and young people that make up our Parish”.
The Fall Festival was originally started to help support the Parish and Our Lady Victory Catholic School and it has continued this effort for many years.
“We’ve been doing this as long as we have been a Parish community for over 50 years now. This particular year we’re going to continue to raise funds to finish the restoration of our Cathedral. Which is still undergoing renovations since Hurricane Harvey,” said Pyatt.
I spoke with Jason Mikeska, the Co-Chairman for Our Lady Victory Fall Festival, to see how it made him feel to give his time to serve the community.
“It makes me feel great to be able to give back to the community in this way. The church was a big part of my life growing up and it makes me feel good to be able to step up and do something to help my church as a whole” said, Jason Mikeska.
