Two people charged in the shooting on Banbury Lane

UPDATED September 15th, 2020 at 5:57 p.m.:

VICTORIA, Texas—- This morning at approximately 9:30 a.m. the Victoria Police Department responded to shots fired near the 300 Block of Banbury in Castle Hills.

New reports from the Victoria Police Department, says Officers could hear shots coming from the back yard.

They found Mark Brown, a 19-year-old Victoria resident, with a handgun. The handgun was previously reported stolen from a vehicle.

Brown was detained at that time and charged with Burglary of a Motor Vehicle, Deadly Conduct, Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon, and Theft of a Firearm.

Carlos Escobar, an 18-year-old Victoria resident, barricaded himself inside of a residence in the area. Escobar was ultimately arrested and charged with the Possession of a Controlled Substance and Burglary of a Motor Vehicle.

VICTORIA, Texas- One person is in custody after Victoria Police responded to a call about shots fired around 9 a.m. Tuesday near the Castle Hills area.

Officer Brogger with VPD stated that no injuries have been reported at this time. The shooting is now under investigation.
