One man dead in shooting in Calhoun County

PORT LAVACA, Texas – Authorities with the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a fatal shooting at 89 Holloman Rd. in Port Lavaca. Authorities arrived around 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning and found one man dead. The shooter is being questioned and lived at the home. The circumstances of what led to the shooting were not released.

It appears the shooting happened in an out building or garage area. One family member was inside the home asleep at the time of the fatal shooting.

The Texas Rangers were called in to help the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.
