One child accidentally shot and killed with pellet gun in Jackson County
JACKSON COUNTY, Texas — The Texas Rangers are investigating a shooting at the home of a Jackson County Deputy, involving the deputy’s son and another child.
The Texas Rangers confirmed a 12-year-old child was shot with a pellet gun by the son of a Jackson County Deputy at their home on June 3rd.
Officials now confirm the child has died due to the injuries.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office requested the Texas Rangers investigate the incident because it involved the son of a Jackson County Deputy.
It is unclear whether the deputy will face any disciplinary action because of the incident.
