Steve Robinson, General Manager at both dealerships, and Sales Manager, Chris English, came up with this idea. Robinson is from Louisiana and wants to help victims affected by the hurricane.

“We decided we would do something, kind of spur of the moment. To get some supplies and things that they need together,” Robinson said.

They are collecting bottled water, gently used clothing, non-perishable food items, children’s toys and canned goods. Robinson said they are also accepting blankets and anything that won’t spoil. Once the truck is loaded, they plan to get it to people in Louisiana. Many people have lost so much with the recent hurricane.

“We are actually going to leave probably the morning of the 12th and we are going to run the program or the donation through the end of the day on the 11th,” he said.

Robinson said many people spend advertising dollars on businesses, but he believes it’s important for us to give back to the community, as well.

“But it’s also important for us to give back to the community and we do that through the Lee Only campaign. We do that weekly, but our brothers and sisters are in need in another state and we’re going to do our best to help them,”
