VICTORIA, Texas—The Victoria County Public Health Department said there are nine new COVID-19 cases recorded on Tuesday.

The state reports 220 people in Victoria County have died from this disease.
The Victoria six-county region now has a COVID-19 hospitalization rate of 4.91%. One year ago, the Victoria region hospitalization rate was 1.94%.
The Victoria County Public Health Department will be closing the COVID-19 hotline effective this Friday. With the decreased call volume, the health department determined it was no longer necessary to keep the hotline open. If the public has any questions regarding COVID-19 and vaccines, they may call the health department at 361-578-6281 or go online to www.vcphd.org.
At this time, the health department will have appointments available on Tuesday afternoons only.
