VPD arrests two residential burglary suspects

VICTORIA, Texas - Victoria Police Department arrested two men involved in two ersidential burglaries after a traffic stop.

VPD pulled over a 2015 silver Nissan at 4:49 Sunday morning for a traffic stop. Investigation revelead two of the occupants were involved in recent burglaries.

They are identified as 25-year-old Jontae Kitchens, of Victoria, and 26-year-old Sullivan Steen. Both are charged with two counts of burglary habitation intend other felony.

The first burglary happened in the 900 block of Loma Vista and the second happened at the 900 2100 block of Levi Street. 

During the burglary on Levi Street, a 53-year-old Victoria man was injured and taken to a local hospital.

On Sunday, March 24th, 2019, at approximately 4:49am, Victoria Police Department Officers conducted a traffic stop on a 2015 Silver Nissan.

Preliminary investigation revealed that two occupants were involved in two recent residential burglaries. The first burglary occurred in the 900 block of Loma Vista and the second burglary occurred in the 2100 block of Levi Street.

During the commission of the second burglary on Levi Street, a resident sustained injuries. The victim is a 53-year-old male of Victoria who was transferred to a local hospital.

Two subjects were arrested and charged with the following:

Jontae Kitchens, 25 of Victoria charged with two counts of Burglary Habitation Intend Other Felony.

Sullivan Steen, 26 of Victoria charged with two counts of Burglary Habitation Intend Other Felony.
