Update: VPD release new details about Halsey Street triple shooting

VICTORIA, Texas - Update 3/18/19:

Victoria Police Department released new details about the shooters involved in the triple shooting that happened in October 2018 at the intersection of Halsey St. and E Crestwood Dr. 

VPD discussed the case at a press conference Monday afternoon and said four adults have been arrested and one15-year-old has a directive to apprehend in connection to the shooting. 

  • 28-year-old George Delarosa is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and engaging in organized criminal activity. He was arrested in Harris County on March 18, 2019 at 12:30 p.m.
  • 21-year-old Chelsea Pogue is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and engagaing in organized criminal activity. She was arrested in Harris County on March 18, 2019 at 12:30 p.m.
  • 17-year-old Mark Sanchez is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and engaging in organized criminal activity. He was arrested in Victoria County on March 13, 2019 at 4:30 p.m.
  • 17-year-old Jose Vasquez is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and engaging in organized criminal activity. He was arrested in Victoria County on March 15, 2019 at 1:30 p.m.
  • An unnamed 15-year-old male has a directive to apprehend. He is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and engaging in organized criminal activity. Detained in Victoria County. 

Original 10/10/18:

Victoria Police Department is investigating a triple shooting that happened around 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Police blocked off the 3800 block of Halsey St. near the Cracker Barrel Gas Station near Crestwood while authorities investigate. 

Police said three people were shot in the parking lot, the extent of their injuries is unknown. The two men and one woman were taken to local hospitals.

The three victims are identified as 20-year-old Kaena Herron, 24-year-old Colton Wright and 27-year-old Qamin Smith. All are residents of Victoria and were transported to hospitals after the shooting.

There is currently no suspect in custody.
