More than $10K of illegal narcotics seized in domestic drug bust

VICTORIA, Texas - On 06/27/2019, the Victoria Police Department Special Crimes Unit, USMS Gulf Coast Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force, and the Victoria County Sheriff's Office Special Crimes Unit responded to a residence in the 3000 block of Oaklawn to serve a warrant on George Garza, 54 year old Victoria resident.

George had an outstanding warrant for Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance.

While placing George under arrest inside of the residence, police observed illegal narcotics and weapons in plain sight.

There were several other subjects inside of the residence who were secured while a search warrant was obtained.

The subjects were identified as 39 year old Victoria resident, Robert Garza; 39 year old Victoria resident, Marcus Woodall; 36 year old Westoff resident, Brittany Galeana; and 18 year old Victoria resident, Kaedon Suniga.

As a result of the search warrant execution, officers located a large amount of methamphetamine, cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana, and various prescription drugs along with five firearms; one with an illegal homemade silencer attached to it.

There was also evidence that indicated the manufacture of crack cocaine and the distribution of methamphetamine, cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana, and other prescription drugs inside of the residence.

Police seized more than $10,000 of illegal narcotics proceeds as well.

All five subjects were arrested and charged with the following:

  • George Garza:
    • Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG1 >4g<200g (methamphetamine)
    • Manufacture or Deliver of a Controlled Substance PG1 >4g<200g (cocaine/crack cocaine)
    • Three counts of Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG3 <28g
    • Possession of Marijuana >4oz<=5lbs​​​​​​​
    • Two local traffic warrants
  • Robert Garza:
    • Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1g (methamphetamine)
    • Possession of Marijuana <2oz​​​​​​​
    • Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
    • Warrant for Theft of Property <$100 With a Previous Conviction
  • Marcus Woodall:
    • Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG1 >4g<200g (methamphetamine)
    • Possession of Marijuana <2oz
  • Brittany Galeana:​​​​​​​
    •  Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1g (methamphetamine)
    • Possession of Marijuana <2oz​​​​​​​
    • Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
  • Kaedon Suniga:
    • Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1g (methamphetamine)
    • Possession of Marijuana <2oz​​​​​​​
    • Fail to Identify Fugitive From Justice
    • Three local traffic warrants

This was a fantastic collaborative effort by several local agencies which resulted in the arrest of several people and the ability to get drugs and illegal weapons off of our streets.
