Early voting beings October 21st

VICTORIA, Texas - Early voting begins on October 21st , Crossroads.

Monday, October 7th is the last day to register to vote. Early voting will last from Monday, October 21st through Friday, November 1st.

The last Day to Apply for Ballot by Mail (Received, not Postmarked) is Friday. October 25th. The last day to Receive Ballot by Mail is Tuesday, November 5, 2019 (election day) at 7:00 p.m. (unless a late-arriving deadline applies).

Early voting will take place at the Patti Dodson Public Health Center located at 2805 N. Navarro.

Here is a list of the acceptable forms of photo ID at the polling place:

  • Texas Driver License issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
  • Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
  • Texas Personal Identification Card issued by DPS
  • Texas Handgun License issued by DPS
  • United States Military Identification Card containing the person's photograph
  • United States Citizenship Certificate containing the person's photograph
  • United States Passport (book or card)

If you do not possess and cannot reasonably obtain one of these IDs there are provisions in place to assist you in being able to vote.

Vote early by mail.

You may vote early by mail if:

  • You will be away from your county on Election Day and during early voting;
  • You are sick or disabled;
  • You are 65 years of age or older on Election Day; or
  • You are confined in jail, but eligible to vote.

If you are interested in early voting by mail you may contact the Elections Office at 576-0124 to have an application mailed to you. You may also visit the Elections Office website at www.vctx.org/elections and select Early Voting by Mail.

Complete the application online and print it out for your signature. Mail the application to Early Voting Clerk, 2805 N. Navarro, Ste 500, Victoria, TX 77901-3947. They cannot accept application to vote by mail in person once early voting in person has begun, it must be mail.
