Families, friends, ex-students, and the community came out to support the Nazareth Academy Catholic School Fall Festival Fundraiser.
Stephanie Thurman is the President of the Parent Teacher Club, and she said, “This is our 2019 Fall Festival, we have it every year here at the Community Center. We are serving turkey, dressing and all the sides.
The festival also included a silent auction, face painting, games for the kids and a live band.
“All the money that we make here goes towards Nazareth Academy to support the school, the students, teachers and extracurricular activities,” said Thurman.
Nazareth Academy is the fourth oldest Catholic School in the State Of Texas. The doors to the school were opened on January 7, 1867, and now it’s the longest-running institution in Victoria.
“The school is 152 years old and it’s celebrating its 153 rd anniversary in January. So we’ve been around on the map in Victoria for a long time and this is just one of those fun events,” said Evelyn Korenek the Principle of Nazareth Academy Catholic School.
“We can’t say it enough we appreciate all the people from months ago planning all the way up to everyone that’s working today, we can’t say it enough that we appreciate their help,” said Thurman.
