Suspect arrested for Trinity Street Shooting

VICTORIA, Texas - On Monday, March 11th, at approximately 11:50pm, Victoria Police Department officers responded to the 1000 block of Trinity Street in reference to shots fired. 

The investigators found multiple bullet holes in a residence, deducting that this shooting appears to be an escalation of an earlier domestic altercation. There was an infant inside of the home at the time of the shooting. No one was injured.

Detectives issued a warrant for 18 year old Alejandro Rojas on multiple charges including Deadly Conduct, Stalking and Abandoning/Endangering a Child. 

On Wednesday, March 13th, the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offender and Fugitive Task Force arrested Rojas. They also arrested him for the Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1<1G. 

Rojas is currently booked in the Victoria County Jail with a $500,000 bond.

The investigation is ongoing.

This shooting does not appear to be related to any other shootings.

Preliminary investigation revealed multiple bullet holes in a residence. This appears to have stemmed from a domestic altercation that occurred earlier in the evening. The residents were inside the residence at the time of the shooting, including an infant child. No one sustained any injuries.

Through the investigation, detectives obtained a warrant for Jonathan Alejandro Rojas, 18 years old of Victoria for Deadly Conduct, Stalking and Abandoning/Endangering a Child. 

On Wednesday, March 13th, at approximately 6:00pm, the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offender and Fugitive Task Force arrested Rojas on the outstanding warrant and was additionally arrested for Manufacture and Delivery of Controlled Substance PG 1<1G. 

Rojas remains in the custody of Victoria County Sherffs Office with a $500,000 bond for warrant charges and a $10,000 bond on Manufacture and Delivery Controlled Substance PG 1<1G.

The investigation is ongoing. 

This shooting does not appear to be related to the prior shootings.
