New COVID-19 recommendations for bars and restaurants

VICTORIA, Texas – With the third case of COVID-19 in the Crossroads confirmed, today’s press briefing took on a grim tone when talking about the future of businesses in the Crossroads.

“We are now recommending that all restaurants close their doors to indoor dining. They can still remain open for to-go orders and take out orders, but in the interest of public health, it’d be best for all if patients didn’t dine in large groups,” Dr. McNeill said.

This new recommendation comes as community spread around the country continues. Social distancing remains the best way we can prevent new cases. The CDC recommends no groups bigger than 10 people and social distancing practices to prevent community spread. They also recommend hand washing as one of the biggest ways we can prevent the virus from spreading.
