Industrial Cobras hire new AD/ Head football coach
VANDERBILT, Texas — Last years, defensive coordinator Craig Nairn will take over the Industrial athletic program. The 45-year-old from Edna, coached in Gonzalez, Edna, Flour Bluff, San Angelo Central and Alice. When Jamie Dixon left, he decided to throw his hat in the ring and fortunately for him, he came out on the positive side of things. Nairn wants to continue the success that Dixon has brought to the program, keep the work ethic, values, and keep grinding.
Our main goal of the program our kids represent us with class, said Nairn. When we walk out win or lose people will look at our program and say our kids know how to act and are great people.
Nairn is planning on keeping the offensive scheme the team ran last year, but is planning on making changes to the verbiage or terminology to make things easier for the athletes when it comes to the football organization. The Industrial school board voted and approved on the hire last night. Nairn is glad to be working close to his hometown and appreciates the positivity he has received on social media. The cobras had a record of 11-3 last year before losing to Lago Vista 35-21 in the playoffs.
