Update on Aggravated Robbery at Oak Forest Apartments

Quincy Brooks, 20 year old Victoria resident, was arrested on 03/18/2020 from a local hospital where he was being treated for a gunshot wound after being involved in an aggravated robbery at Oak Forest Apartments, 5312 N. John Stockbauer Drive, on 03/17/2020.

Brooks had an outstanding warrant charging him with Aggravated Robbery and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity

Andy Lara, 17 year old Victoria resident, was arrested on 03/18/2020 from a local residence.

Lara had an outstanding warrant charging him with Aggravated Robbery and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity stemming from an aggravated robbery reported on 03/07/2020 at Victoria Motel, 709 E. Rio Grande St.

Anthony Moreno, 17 year old Victoria resident, who was previously arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery at the Victoria Motel was additionally charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.

Moreno was already incarcerated and charged with Theft of a Firearm and Aggravated Robbery from a robbery at a residence in the 1800 block of Anaqua Ave. on 02/05/2020.

Update on Callis Street Murder

Taylor Arriola (no mugshot available at the time this article was published), 21 year old Victoria resident, was arrested on 03/16/2020 in Harris County on a warrant charging him with Murder in connection with the murder of 30 year old Cary Givens on 03/13/2020 at a residence in the 4100 block of Callis St.

These arrests were accomplished as a result of the hard work and excellent teamwork by Victoria Police Department Patrol Officers, Detectives, and the US Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force.

“I will also say we are not finished. We will continue these efforts until we are confident that any and all criminal associates who are involved are off of our streets,” said Victoria Police Chief, J.J. Craig.
