Mother Deals With Loss During the Holidays

“I’d rather be here with the boys for a while instead of with all the enlightenment of Christmas,” says Bebe Conchola.

For those spending Christmas with family..things are really sweet.
But, for Conchola, another Christmas is another holiday spent without her 3 children; Robert, Roland, and Chastity Conchola.

Conchola lost her oldest son in 2003. Robert was 26 years old. Her youngest daughter Chastity, was only 2 days old.

“I come very often to the cemetery..they’re in my heart. Their memories still lives in the family,” she says.

The Christmas decor around their graves signifies the labor of love Conchola still shows for her children..

“I’d rather be here with the boys for a while instead of with all the enlightenment of Christmas.”

She says dealing with loss around the holiday’s is tough, but she says keeping their memories alive makes Christmas a little easier.
“Pray and to still have faith even though loss is such a hardship for people,” Conchola says.
