Mostly Cloudy with Isolated Showers Overnight…How Much Rain?

Rain Chance Improve Second Half of Work Week

Skies are partly to mostly cloudy over the Crossroads late today as abundant Gulf moisture continues to pour into the region on a strong southeast wind. Isolated showers appear from time to time, but dynamics do not favor widespread precipitation through Wednesday. A weak cold front arrives midday Thursday and becomes stationary to our south, amplifying rain chances through Friday. Scattered thunderstorms Thursday through Friday will provide much-needed rainfall, with annual precipitation five inches below normal at this time. No additional rain is expected Saturday through Monday, followed by isolated showers again on Tuesday. Highs will be from the upper 80s to lower 90s, with lows in the middle 70s.
