EDNA, Texas – On Tuesday, Sept. 28, over 4,000 homes in Jackson county have been without power since 5:37 p.m.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and AEP are aware of the outage issue.

AEP said the locations currently without power are Edna and Ganado and that this a transmission outage.

According to their Communications department, their crews went out at 5:45 p.m. to work on resolving the issue.

So far, they do not have an update as to when this outage will be over, but AEP is trying to fix it as soon as possible.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is also aware of this problem and can assist, if needed.

However, AEP is requesting for customers to just report an outage online, if you haven’t reported yours already.
