Morning Rains Gave Way to Clear, Windy and Colder Conditions

Clear and Colder Yet Tonight

A strong cold front arrived in the Crossroads around midnight last night, sending temperatures plummeting 20 to 25 degrees in its wake. The mercury hovered in the upper 40s to lower 50s by daybreak and has recovered only to around 60 under bright sunshine this afternoon. A north wind at 20 to 20 mph prevails. Expect chilly nights and mild afternoons through the weekend, then a brief warming trend on Monday and Tuesday terminates with a strong cold front early Wednesday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms can be expected Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs will be in the 70s to lower 80s, except for 60s Wednesday and Thursday. Lows will remain in the 40s and 50s.
