Synopsis: Light showers in the area today with warmer temperatures.  On Thursday fast moving upper level winds will bring enough lift for showers to start up again on Thursday (for coastal locations).  If clouds stay at a minimum then fog could be a problem overnight on Thursday (into Friday).

For the long term, Friday through Tuesday, a cold front heads towards Texas on Friday.  Moisture will be moving into the Crossroads from the Gulf (southeast).  The boundary could bring severe weather to the area late Friday afternoon through Friday night.  Daytime heating from the sun combined with spin, moisture and 35 mph winds should be enough to allow for severe weather conditions (Northeast Texas should have the worst conditions).  Storms will dissipate Saturday morning as the front pushes through the Crossroads by Saturday morning.  The cold front will move into the northwest Gulf before turning around and moving back into the area as a warm front on Sunday.  A return of Gulf moisture on Monday and Tuesday could lead to showers as well.

Tropical Update: Hurricane Lisa moving west at 12 mph with 75 mph winds is effecting Belize and the Yucatan Peninsula.  Localized flash flooding could be a problem.

Hurricane Martin moving northeast at 31 mph with 85 mph winds should stay in the open Atlantic causing little if any problems other than shipping lanes.
