More Heat is On the Way The Next Seven Days
Different day and the same weather story is ongoing in South Texas. The oppressive heat is not going anywhere anytime soon. For the next seven days, we will see highs in the middle to upper 90s. You can expect lower 90s near the coast. Nights will remain humid with lows in the middle to upper 70s. The upper high pressure ridge continues to get stronger over the next few days. The upper high is keeping all of the rain to the east, north, west, and south of Texas. In the future, models show the ridge breaking down by late next week to provide us some rain.
In the Atlantic, the tropics remain good and quiet. The African dust we have been dealing with is beginning to exit and visibilities are improving.
