Mild Monday to Give Way to Cool, Breezy Tuesday

Rain Chance Hold Off Until Late Week

A gusty south wind has lifted afternoon temperatures into the middle 70s over the Crossroads today, but moisture remains lacking over the region.  A cold front extended across the center of the State and will pass through the Golden Crescent late tonight.  Expect a sunny and breezy but cooler Tuesday, with highs in the middle 60s and a Tuesday night low in the upper 30s.  After that, increasing southerly flow will prevail through late week, lifting Gulf moisture and associated warmer conditions through the region.  Isolated showers return Thursday, increasing to scattered Friday afternoon, then numerous showers and thunderstorms pelt the region along a Friday night cold front.  Morning showers on Saturday give way to breezy and mild conditions Saturday afternoon.  The next rain chance will be isolated showers on Monday.  Highs remain in the 60s and 70s, with lows in the 60s Wednesday through Friday, dropping into the 40s and 50s thereafter.
