VICTORIA, Texas – If you are in the mood for some chili stop by the American Legion Hall at 1402 E. Santa Rosa St. in Victoria for dinner on Thursday.
Texas military veterans and first responders running for public office will be there to talk about their campaigns and to meet voters ahead of the primary election. James Kurth, a military veteran running for public office explains.
“There are quite a few veterans that are running for office and a number of first respondents that will be there,” Kurth said. “You’ll have an opportunity to meet them, there will be some light refreshments and I heard i a rumor that someone is cooking chili and someone is bringing cupcakes and so it should be a great event, a very relaxed and informal opportunity. The candidates will have a couple minutes to speak and you’ll have the opportunity to meet and greet a lot of them.”
