Meals on Wheels Victoria expands to Cuero and Thomaston
MOW Victoria will be able to partner with local healthcare providers and senior services to identify seniors suffering from lack of nutritional food, according to a news release.
DEWITT COUNTY, Texas – Meals on Wheels Victoria will expand their services into Cuero and Thomaston areas of DeWitt County.
According to a news release, Meals on Wheels Victoria saw a rapid growth of need during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Meal deliveries to homebound seniors doubled while the dining hall at 603 E. Murray remained closed.
Now, after a consistently busy year, staff and volunteers are excited and ready to add the
new Cuero and Thomaston routes.
The expansion will allow MOW Victoria to also partner with local healthcare providers and senior services to identify those suffering from lack of access to a nutritional balanced food.
Thanks to the generosity of the United Way of the Crossroads and its community, Meals
on Wheels Victoria will be exceeding the unprecedented level of service it achieved over
the past year and expanding into the Cuero and Thomaston areas of DeWitt County.
Registrations and referrals can be arranged by contacting the Intake Coordinator, according to the release.
